Masdevallia triaristella Rchb. f., Gard. Chron., n.s., 6(138): 226. 1876.

TYPE: The discovery is due to the late M. Endres; the satisfaction of having flowered it for the first time in Europe is with Messrs. Veitch, M. Endres s.n. (holotype, W).
